A new blog, and a small intention behind it.

So much of what this work asks of us never makes it onto the page. The session that follows
you home. The doubt you sit with between clients. The slow, unglamorous business of keeping a
practice alive so that you can keep doing the thing you were called to do. It is a lot to
carry, and most of it is carried quietly, often alone.

I wanted a place where some of it could be spoken about honestly.

## What you will find here

Some of it will be practical, and I make no apology for that. How a clinical note actually
comes together. Where a new tool earns its place in your day, and where it only gets in the
way. The parts of running a practice that no training prepared you for. When I have a view, I
will offer it to you plainly.

But I am just as curious about the parts of this work that do not fit inside a how-to. What it
asks of the person doing it. What shifts in us as we sit, year after year, with other people's
pain and their courage. How a whole field is changing beneath our feet. These are the things I
find genuinely interesting, and I am hoping you will too.

## What you can count on

A couple of quiet promises.

When something is a matter of fact, a rule about regulation, billing, or insurance, I will only
put it in front of you once I have checked it. Getting that wrong has real consequences for your
practice and for the people who trust you with their care. I will not invent numbers, and I will
not tell you Ignia does something it cannot yet do. If a thing is still being built, I will say so.

Beyond that, I am simply hoping to write things worth your time. There is no rush, and there is
no formula. We will see where it goes.
